Julia Vandepolder received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph (2009). Vandepolder completed a four week studio residency program at the historic Vermont Studio Centre campus in Johnson, Vermont (2011). She has exhibited at numerous public and private galleries nationally. Vandepolder was selected as a finalist for the inaugural Salt Spring National Art Prize at Mahon Hall on Salt Spring Island, BC (2015). She is the recipient of many awards including Best in Show(2015), Elora Arts Council Award (2014), Ellen Langlands Memorial Award (2013) and an Emerging Artist Grant (2011) from the Ontario Arts Council. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections, including BMO Financial Group. She lives and works in the Greater Toronto Area.
