Byron Hodgins

And They Said it Was Like Fire
Oil
44.5″ x 53.5″
3,350.

Hodgins is inspired both by an inward place and direct observation of nature. To him painting is a means of being sensitive to seeing colour, as much as a means for expressing visual thought. A plein air painting practice has lead Byron to experience the common place as transformational, an opportunity to be present and focus on the self.
