Since 1981 David has exhibited his prolific body of work in Toronto with the Isaacs Gallery, the Red Head Gallery and the Contemporary Art Forum Kitchener & Area(CAFKA); internationally at the Guangdong Museum of Art, China, Seoul Museum of Art, S. Korea and the Bunting Art Centre, Baltimore, USA.
As well, David is a highly regarded performance and community-based artist who engages people to create work together on various projects. David has an extensive list of publications and media interviews. He maintains studios in Toronto and Beijing, travelling from one series and project to the next.
David is influenced by a number of peer artists including Gordon Rayner, and his painting professor Graham Coughtry. He has contributed paintings to fundraising events in support of many causes over the years and is active in the community.
David opened his project ‘Energy Gallery’ in 2006 and has curated numerous exhibits, launching the careers of many artists.
