Women who defined
Canadian Art
March 29 - April 12
Featuring works by over 30 highly skilled yet under appreciated painters from across the country.
An exhibition of noteworthy artists opens March 29th, 2025 at Canadian Fine Arts. Featuring works by over 30 highly skilled yet under-appreciated painters from across the country. While the Group of 7 dominated the national conversation in painting, a driven and resilient group of women carved their own record of artistic development in their studios from coast to coast. Often overlooked and under-recognized, these artists continue to grow in popularity with major retrospective exhibitions cementing their place in history. This exhibition and sale is a great opportunity to broaden one’s understanding of the Canadian historical landscape of painters. We are excited to offer these works for acquisition to clients new and old.
Museum quality works are the cornerstone to great collections and many remain available to buyers ready to make the commitment. CFA Gallery specializes in the breadth of Canadian art history with a specific focus on the Group of 7, Les Automatistes, the Canadian Impressionists and Painters 11. Visit us for a chance to experience works which can be acquired and have yet to reach the walls of our country’s museums.
