Ever since Olivia de Fleuriot Perry was a young girl in South Africa, she has always been inspired by and had a love for art. Before moving to Canada, her South African roots gave her a deep love for nature, which would become a driving source of artistic inspiration. Now living in Canada, her artistic journey has spanned from creating captivating portraits during her bachelor’s studies to crafting otherworldly knitted wombs in her MFA at Emily Carr University. Her current series of paintings explore the intersection of inspiration of nature, and the material variations of surface and paint.
